Phew, okay so this is late.....
Nothing like getting sick and then a surprise allergic reaction to put you behind....
Anyway back to the task at hand!I got my second Ipsy bag, the glamazon bag, and here is what I got and how I liked it.
Here is what I got!
Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask
Dr.G - Daily Safe BB in Fair
Crown Brush - Ombre Angle Brush
Be A Bombshell Cosmetics - Nail Polish in Holy Fuchsia
tarte cosmetics - tarteist™ lash paint mascara
Firstly lets look at the mascara and brush:
This is my second experience with Tarte Cosmetics (see August Ipsy Bag) and the mascara is not one I would use because of how thick the product is. Im not a fan of thick mascaras (they always get in my eye by the end of the day........). However the black is rich and looks really good, I just prefer lighter formulas.
The Crown Brush is awesome, It has a shape that is a mix between a fan and round brush. I Love how it can be used for highlighting or you can turn it sideways and use it as a contouring brush. The brush is so soft and gentle on the skin with a handle that is easy to hold onto and won't slip out.
These two products were kind of hard to pair up with my work because one isn't really something you wear but use, and the other is black in colour and lets face it...black goes with everything! So I picked one of my favorite crystal pendants and a awesome pair of tentacle earrings! Simple, but still creates a unique look that compliments any basic outfit.
Where to find them:
Octopus Crystal Pendant - $75.00 US$
Tentacle Earrings - $20.00 US$
Next lets look at the hair mask and face moisturizer:
With my thick hair I only got one use out of the sample hair mask (which didn't surprise me lol). After washing my hair and applying the mask I waited 10 minuets, then washed it out. My hair didn't really feel extra moisturized, and once it dried my hair was not any less frizzy or less dry looking. Maybe if i had enough to do the three applications, like they recommended, I would see more results but after one I did not see much of a difference.
The BB cream is a skin coloured moisturizer, so I tried it on my hand to see how the colour compared to my skin tone, it did not match (Waaaay to yellow). However, the cream smelled very nice and did feel smooth on my skin, but I would not ever use this colour, so that is about as far as that product got.
Onto the last product!
The Bombshell Nail polish
To start I have to say that I love the colour! I love doing my nails, but I work in a industry that is hard on nails so nail art does not last very long. This nail polish is A+ on colour, A+ on how it applies, and C for how durable it is (with a top coat). Even though I knew it wouldn't last to long I decided to use it with my black crackle nail polish to show you how the colour looks.
When I was picking the accessories I choose to go with bright and popping colours that were the complimenting contrast, bright orange and yellow. The octopus pendant paired with the glow in the dark orange and black tentacle earrings pop with colour and are sure to get peoples attention no matter what the situation. The colours play off and enhance each other is all the right ways!
Where to find them:
Octopus pendant: $45.00 US$
Tentacle earrings: $20.00 US$

My Very First Ipsy bag came in Today!
Here is what i got:
Neuma Smoothing Creme for my hair.
Ciate Nail Polish - Dangerous Affair Red
Jelly Pong Pong Eyeshadow palette - Neoplitan Palette
Tarte Lip Creme - Coral Red
111Skin Mask - Brightening Activator and Moisture Infusion
Glam Make up Bag
Thoughts on the Hair creme and facial mask:
Facial Mask - The protective cover on the mask confused me for a second (o.0) but I got it eventually lol. It was very moisturizing and did not feel sticky after I removed the mask. It didn't bother my skin at all which is awesome!
Hair Creme - I would be interested in purchasing a full size of this product to really give a longer trial period. It smells amazing! Just like Chocolate Orange! It doesn't leave a greasy or sticky feeling after you use it. But i defiantly need a full size bottle to give it a good try since i have a lot of hair....
*All the Items matched with the Ipsy contents are 100% handmade and can be bought at my Etsy Store . Custom orders are available! *
Thoughts on the Ciate Nail Polish:
This lovely red shade of nail polish is bright but not in your face. The polish goes on very smooth and dries pretty quickly :) I would defiantly look at getting more colours from this brand!
What would go great with it:
The colour goes extremely well with these red tentacle inspired earrings and pendant. Throw on a great cat eye or smokey eye and a bold lip stick and you are ready for an amazing night out!
Cost: Red Tentacle earrings - $27.50, Black Tentacle Pendant - $29.99
Thoughts on the Tarte Lip Creme:
The lip creme goes on very rich and smooth! It is a lovely pinkish red coral colour that keeps the moisture for a good amount of time. I would recommend bringing a lip gloss or balm to apply as the lip creme wears off, especially if your eating out .
What goes great with it:
Add on the Green/Red tentacle inspired earrings and a baby octopus necklace, and finish with a copper or gold eyeshadow then get your butt out the door to face whatever the day has!
Cost: Green/Red Tentacle earrings - 27.50, Green Adventurine Octopus Pendant - $65.00
Thoughts on the Neoplitan Palette:
All three of these eyeshadows have a metallic shimmer to them! They are translucent when applied to the skin but will add a awesome shimmer to anything below it! the first one has a golden shimmer to it, the second one is a beautiful pink shimmer, and the third is a dark brown shimmer. All can be used together at the same time or as a highlight with other shadows.
What goes great with this product:
Throw on the Rose Gold Glitter tentacle inspired earrings with a Gold and Red Octopus Pendant and a matte neutral colour lipstick and your ready for any type of event!
Cost: Rose Gold Tentacle earring - $27.50, Octopus Necklace - $45.00

Okay so this summer has been a bit of a bumpy one, it may have taken my time away from my blog and web pages but it didn't stop me from sculpting!!
I have all new Frog Pendants ready to go and a NEW item (Octopus plugs 7/8" - 1")!
Im working on getting images ready for Etsy right now (lots to take photos of). I am hopefull I will have a range of new items to show for the Edmonton Expo on Sept 26-29th. Not a lot of time to chat this blog but just thought i would throw up a update :)
With two months left until Calgary Im busy waking new stock for the show. here are the new stock including: new Octopet and Tentacle Mugs!
So Im sure people have noticed my lack of activity on the site (Sorry!) I have had a bit of a crazy month and I am finally getting my grounding once again to get back into the swing of posting.
I am thinking about posting once a week on a Friday or Thrusday about sculptures in progress or just about cool articles i found online. To catch up on something that i have been working on here are some of my latest finished pieces.
Here is my newest crystal Octopet: The Koi Crystal
After much planning and designing here is a cake topper i sculpted for a friends wedding. They asked for a paper bag princess inspired piece and wanted the dragon to get the girl. The prince.. lets just say he didn't make it.
Hello to new seeks of the odd and wonderful and welcome back to those who visit every now and then!
I am sorry for the absence in last little while! Life has been putting me through changes and loop de loops and with getting ready for my very successful show (Animethon 20) took the rest of my time up..
I have been busy with designing new items, building stock, venturing into a new job, and helping out with the Fringe production of YEG DND Improve. Its been crazy but a fun ride :) BUT I am back and will be back in production mode for Edmonton Expo very soon and I have a brand new line that will be debuted!!
Cuthulu Dice pendants!!
The new line will have baby cuthulus clutching various role playing dice, from a D4 to a D20. I am looking to have at least 10 pendants ready for Edmonton Expo. Custom orders can be done if you would like a certain colour of dice and colour of octopus. (just need to contact me)
I will also be doing a new line of tentacle chockers which took a break for a year. New colours of tentacle earrings will be popping up as well as some new krakensteins! Out of one fire and into another lol
Well that is my quick update and I look forward to see you guy at the Edmonton Expo!!
I woke this morning to a pretty awesome surprise on my etsy page and that was that my page view has sky rocketed! I checked into it and found that three websites had featured my Tardis Octopet on their pages with great write ups on them.
